Lumenas Studios
Sorry for the delay…got busy and even missed the opportunity to submit an entry for the Halloween sculpting contest. I am staring at the head of my Frankenstein monster as I type this. I hope that there were plenty of entries and that Marc will have many more contests here.
I got one of my usual email from Animation Magazine this week and there was an article about two studios, 2D3D and Wizzfilms, working on a stop-motion production called “The Rise of Zelphire” using what the author of the article, Thomas J. McLean, calls it—“innovative stop-motion technique” and I began to wonder if will be a technique similar to the style that Lumenas Animation Studios used in some of their films.
Lumenas Studios did films such as Davie and Golymr and Jonah: A Great Fish Story, using both stop-motion and computer animation
I had been contacted by Lumenas a couple of years ago with the hopes of landing a job for their feature film “The Legend of Santa Claus”, but unfortunately, right at the time when they were to start pre-production, the bottom fell out of the economy and since then they’ve been very quiet.
So, my question is—can anyone tell us whatever happened to Lumenas Studios?
