About Me

I am a puppeteer, artist and animator living in North Carolina. I am attending The Living Arts College, finishing up a certificate in Digital Animation.

Hobbies

Bike riding, reading fantasy and adventure books, and watching movies. I also am making short 2D hand drawn and claymation films, trying to improve my animation skills. I also write screenplays and storyboards.

Books

The Lord of the Ring, Moby Dick, anything by Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaimon, or Tom Holt. I've recently gotten into the Fablehaven books and the Parcy Jackson books by Reirdon. Harry Potter, of course, and I love the Moomin books and drawings by Tove Janson. The His Majesty's Service trilogy, and His Dark Materials as well.

Movie Interests

Anything by Peter Jackson, del Torro, Ardman Studios, Tim Burton, Les Anderson and Pixar. Mayazaki is also a favorite of mine, plus all the old Ray Harryhausen films. All of the Muppet films, plus the Dark Crystal. Anything well written and made with heart, whether it's 2D, 3D, stop motion, stick figures or live action.

Favorite Animators

the folks at Ardman, Trinka, Lotte Reinenger, Chuck Jones, Mayizaki, Svankmeyer,Harryhausen, and the folks at Pixar.

Favorite Artists

for fine art: Dali, Monet, Turner, Klee, Goya, Picasso and van Gough. Plus lots of of others.
for music: Beethovan, Vivaldi, Bach, Brahams, Devorak, Hohvaness, Mozart and Rossini. Most other classical music from the medieval to the modern period as well.
