Live Action Shoot Ending Soon
Friday, 19 November 2010
According to the producer, the live action shoot is just about 90% complete and I'm starting to tremble because my part is just about to start. I spent the latter half of today (after completing another puppet for this production) watching clips of past great clips from famous Dynamation type films... feeling humble about my claims about what I can do for this film.

One saving grace is that I think I've brought another great talent on board for shooting some animation on this film, I can't say WHO just yet because we've yet to reach a final agreement about the terms and conditions and because I'd rather he be the one to reveal his involvement. But I'm really excited about him potentially coming on board to shoot some frames for this production!

I am SO looking forward to the months ahead, SHOOTING is really what we live to do in this business. As much as I like the planning stages and building the puppets, it's getting those puppet performers in front of the camera and hearing the shutter click - that's what it's really all about for me.

Before I get the first live action plates, I hope I have time to get my camera fixed! I've got a bad connection from the power supply and I need to get the camera either serviced or replaced. This problem cropped up during the Medusa shoot for Ray's birthday tribute and I haven't had the time to take the camera in for service... I have rubber bands wrapped around it to keep the connector held in the right place so the power doesn't cut out - that's no way to work!

Anyway, I'm about to burst out of the puppet making cocoon and spread the wings of an animator once again and this time, it's for real... Yikes! :)
