Lack Of News...
Monday, 16 August 2010
I know there's been a lack of news about this film in the past couple of weeks so I'd like to let you know why...
Firstly, last week I was on vacation and was busy climbing a mountain and catching some fish! And there's been a goodly amount of progress on the film too but, what's been happening has been stuff I can't talk about publicly. One thing I CAN say however is that the live action shooting is just days away from getting underway. I got a call form the producer today letting me know that the locations for the first two sequences have been secured and shooting is about to begin.
The first sequence that will be shot will involve me and some stop motion magic so, I need to be ready for that. The puppet for that scene is ready and I'm rushing to create a prop that will also be needed for it. 'Why is the stop motion guy building a prop for the live action?' you ask? Well I can't tell you and that's why I've been quiet for a while.
Another bit of interesting news I can cryptically pass on is that I've read the final draft of the script and something has been changed in this version - and now the last creature to be seen in the film will involve stop motion!
Sorry I can't report anything more than that without breaking my contract but, so it goes.
