New Teaser/Trailer In The Works
Discussion started by Ron Cole , on 06 June 08:20 PM
As you may know, all the live action photography has been completed on Sinbad The 5th Voyage and I'd love to tell you that the film will be released soon but, there's tons of effects post production left to be created. My stop motion contribution is moving along well but, that's besides all the other CGI environments and animation that needs to be introduced into what seems like every frame of this production.

The Editor has assembled a new teaser/trailer that's also a ways off from being completed for public consumption (for the same reason) but, even with all the green screens and shots that are only represented by stills from the storyboard... it's exciting!

So maybe 4-5 months to go? That's not far away at all! Wow, I hope it's true. I'm more excited to see the audience reaction to it because this could mean the come-back of dynamation. I already know it's going to be good.

Thanksgiving is POSSIBLE, I'm not gonna guarantee it personally. Fingers crossed. :)

Ken,
Hey Mr. Cole, I saw on facebook that they are considering Thanksgiving weekend to release the film to theatres. Is that true?

The Sinbad news is very exciting Ron. Of working animators, you are the closest thing to Ray Harryhausen that we've got, so
all the best and take care of your hands!

Ken,
Two weeks?! I was expecting more like two months! But that's okay. Two weeks sounds good! I would love to see more dynamation!

Well this latest trailer for this film just got fast-tracked and the producer is pretty intense about getting it completed within the next two weeks! Yikes! That's a pretty tall order because of how much will need to get done in that tiny window of time but, at least I'm not worried about the stop motion portion... it's all the CGI backgrounds and effects that are going to be the challenge because of there needs to be lots of that.

Anyway, if all goes well, you should be seeing more from this film in the relatively near future. And I do think you'll be pleasantly surprised by what you see. :)
