November 1st to December 6th
AGPeaceTreeStudios chose the topic "Melancholy" after winning the September challenge. This gives everyone two months to come up with something. While it sounds simple the definition of melancholy gives you a lot of options on what you can do:

1. Sadness or depression of the spirits; gloom: "There is melancholy in the wind and sorrow in the grass" (Charles Kuralt).
2. Pensive reflection or contemplation.
3. Archaic
a. Black bile.
b. An emotional state characterized by sullenness and outbreaks of violent anger, believed to arise from black bile.
Simply post a link to your YouTube short based on the topic. The winner will be chosen on November 29th during our live show.

With the change back to Wednesday nights, it looks like this challenge was somewhat lost in the shuffle. Is the deadline still firm as today, the 29th, or is it extended until December 5th, the next Live Show?

Hey guys, I think that what we should do is discuss these entries next week during our live show. Otherwise it would be a waste, and that would be no fun. The live show will fall on a Thursday the first week of each month and every week after on Wednesdays. I realize it can get confusing which is why hopefully the countdown timer on the front page will help everyone in the future. We just need to keep that in mind for the future challenges, that we don't mess up. Or in reality....that I don't mess it up. I definitely take the blame for this week.
So we will announce the winner on December the 6th, 8PM central. I will change the challenge topic to November 1st to December 6th to reflect the change. This gives everyone a little more time to polish their finished films and others a little extra time to finish up.

Hey Mr. Bob, we discussed your and Dino's animated films during the live show tonight. The good news is your entry won! Dino, you did a good job as well. The only issue is that you didn't animate the characters using stop motion. Otherwise you both did really good jobs and so Mr. Bob gets to pick the next theme. As soon as you do I will make a new thread and everyone can get started.
