Hey, Im new here so may not be much help but saw this question and have watched that video of coraline's hair being made probably 10 times... haha but anyway you could try hair extension glue to glue wires in the hair. I mean strand by strand would be tedious but if it ends up working would be worth it. try Sallybeauty.com they have different types of hair glue (pretty inexpensive) that may be helpful and may not leave those cloudy parts. (Im going to be attempting the same thing, when I test it out ill let you know how it goes.)
