Advanced camera
Hello,
Can anyone suggest me an "advanced" camera that will enable me to view the already taken photos in an animation like manner instead of the photos coming up as a page turn. Everyone gets surprised and sometimes don't even believe me when I say I create my stop motion with a point and shoot camera... and even though the focus just sucks, I can't do it any other way. I had someone told me that I am supposed to have two cameras (1 bad and good kind) and shoot my scenes from different but similar angles (since the two cameras can't be in the exact same spot) and use the point ans shoot cam as a guide and use the other one for my animation...
But that's not going to happen, I mean I am already on my own in this field and even though I do like the results, it's painful for me to begin with. So I was wondering if there is even an another way to do this?
Re: Advanced camera
You're going to want to get stop-motion computer software that's compatible with your current camera or get a new camera that will work with the software. Then you can connect your camera to the computer and view your animation as your animating it. Dragon is the best software I've used but there are some other free/cheaper ones you can get.
You don't need two cameras.

Re: Advanced camera
you could try the site for the compatibility maybe....if not that the stop motion pro website have a table:

Re: Advanced camera
Since other people gave you links to stop motion software, I'll just increase the info, assuming you are willing to spend money/switch to stop motion software than just keep doing it on the camera. Visit the Dragon Frame website (http://www.dragonframe.com/) for more info on supported cameras. It's a very powerful, yet easy to use stop motion program, and it supports live view with many DSLR cameras (I've used Canon T2i and now T3i with it). I know you can get free software, but I'm not sure if any of them support live view or even support DSLR cameras. (live view is being able to see the captured image right away on the computer).
