February 1 to February 29, 2012: Monthly Challenge Ad Compiliation!
Re: February 1 to February 29, 2012: Monthly Challenge Ad Compiliation!
After re-reading the previous posts, I'm not sure if I understand the concept for the commercial. I like the script and how Dean broke it down, but wouldn't it be better and make more sense for everyone to animate according to the dialogue? Random clips could get messy--especially for whoever is editing this together;whereas, if we animated to the dialogue there would be one consistent element to everyone's entry.

I'll take 8-12 ^^ if thats ok. But just to make sure.each one will make 4 seconds of his own stopmo animation not matter the subject but the lips have to be synced to what its says on his 4 seconds tha he chooses.right?

Yes Matt, you are right. It would be better if everyone animated to the script. I wasn't sure if we were going to have enough people participating so I didn't think we'd be able to do that. But now it seems everyone wants to give this a shot. So it is OK with me if everyone animated to the dialogue. If anyone needs help breaking the audio down we've got an article on lip sync here: http://animateclay.com/index.php/articl … -animation

I have edited post 36 (here) to make it easier for everyone to see who is doing what. I've claimed 12 - 16 so that just leaves 3 slots.
Sorry for the confusion Matt and Marc. I think a few people (inc me) were a little unsure of how it was going to be done. The sound clips follow on precisely where the last one finished so providing everyone keeps tight to their time, it should run smoothly....
It'll be easier for people to finish their entries if we're only doing 4 seconds each. If we pull this off it'll look fantastic

Oh, and are we using a specific frame-rate and aspect ratio to help with continuity? I was going for 12 fps and 16:9. But some people may have problems shooting in widescreen so I might change to traditional 4:3.... ???
