Well all I know is I'm just going to animate what I think fits the theme.
If it is against the rules I just will remove it from the site, but at least I will have made something finally after 6 months of no animating.
Hell my Elf video was to gory for some.

I have a video which fits the key words but I'm afraid it's against the rules because it's too violent and gory.

Yeah, people have to be careful with this one. The video I'm planning is neither violent nor gory. If it deals with death then it practically works (Or something similar).

Is gore and violence not allowed? I think that was the rule for the Harryhausen videos, but you might want to ask Marc about that on these regular challenges Xiakeyra .

I think extreme gore, violence, and explicit stuff should be banned from a site like this (mainly since it appears as a very family-friendly site).

How extreme are we talking here guy's?
R rated, or above that.
If we are talking R rated I don't think that kind of stuff should be banned.
Maybe just a warning at the beginning of the video or something.
This is a subject you need to be more clear on.
Anyway I have an idea for the challenge story boarded out, set building starts this weekend.

My personal feeling is - even Ray Harryhausen chopped off medusas head, and so violence isn't necessarily bad. But stuff like porn or videos that are all violence and gore without a reason is not so great. I guess it really depends. But to ban anyone from posting here because of violence and being too strict might send some great animators away from these challenges.
