Post Your Press Releases Here: Read First!
Post Your Press Releases Here: Read First!
Due to the large amount of press releases we've been getting since our site update, we're making this section for anyone to post a press release. This means that if you have a festival, product, web site or other stop motion related thing you want to promote - this is where you can do it. We may or may not post it on the front news page of the site, it will depend on how relevant it is to our audience.
With the growing amount of promotional e-mails we have been getting, it's hard to reply as we normally would to our amazing and loyal guests. I apoligize that we have to have a system like this, but since I'm just one person it's the best solution for now.
I also want to stress that any forum posts within this section are not affiliated with Animate Clay. Anyone doing business with anyone else here does so at their own risk.

Hello,
I love the website, it's nice to have a place where stop motion artists can come together, communicate and share their videos. I'd like you to check out a short film I just finished up for my Senior Thesis film at the Academy of Art, in San Francisco. It's on vimeo's staff picks for this week, so we're pretty excited about that!

Thanks for your time,

Hey Mr. Spess,
Have you heard about the Aardman Swedbank Bank "Under the Oak Tree"? It's one of their best commericals ever made. It has a similar style to "Fantastic Mr. Fox". Here's the link to the making of: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dojPQqbVeQ4
The final commercial is at the end.

Mr. Spess, here's a stopmotion that I think you should cover! It's pretty neat: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOMbySJT … playnext=1

Hey Marc, Jack here.
I just finished my movie Abducted and was wondering if you would make a post about it. It's been three years in the making. It is a lego/clay/sci-fi/comedy/adventure animated movie. It's a whopping 36 minutes long so I had to split it into three separate parts on youtube.
Part 1- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nm74O8eEDSA
Part 2- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dz-_ZT67rI4
Part 3- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCYb6MC4JYs
Here is the poster to the movie-

There is going to be two different versions of Abducted. Just for fun I made this version with bits and pieces of score from composer Danny Elfman. Later I will release a second version with an actual score made by my music making friends and myself.
Jack and Jordan are two best friends who suddenly find themselves abducted into a strange, smiling spacecraft. Everything goes insane after the boys escape a group of wicked, slug-like aliens on board. Now Jack and Jordan must venture through this wild, carnival of a spaceship to get back to earth!
My friend Jordan Boettcher and I (Jack Quincey) have been creating animated movies about ourselves going on crazy adventures for many years. We plan on continuing to make animated movies under the name Mechanism Animations and hopefully we'll make a career out of it someday. In the meantime you can check out our other Jack and Jordan movies, as well as other various creations on my youtube page-

Otherwise you can read up on my old Abducted blog which has behind the scenes info and pictures. I may start posting on there again with information on new movies and my animation processes.

Thank you for your time Marc, have a good day

Hello Marc,
I used to have many problems with stop-motion (puppet, props, sets, etc). Then I started to research very hard spending about $ 3,000 in 14 months to buy supplies like (foam latex, clay, wires, dvd's, etc). I got improved so much and mainly when I joined your community and bought some of your DVD's. I think this movie trailer should be covered

It is our first stop-motion movie, I hope we get qualified to Dubai International Film Festival. The movie is about 6 min's, and it took about 3 months to complete the whole movie. It was very challenging for all of us because it is our first time and we learned a lot.
Here is my website

Thank you
