Pre Production on a short I'm planning
Hey, I'm planning this film out, and I have a few friends who are up for helping me with some more concepts and storyboarding. Once I've got most of it done I plan on making a pitch on indiegogo and try to raise enough money to make this thing.
It's a story about a robot who is also a radio who travels in a hot air balloon made of a picnic rug and basket, looking for different kinds of music.

He looks like an interesting characer. I can't wait to see him in motion! Is he gonna be like WALL-E? He has no mouth and has dials for eyes as it appears. Do you have a synopsis for the film?

I haven't seen Wall-E, so I don't know but I do hope it isn't too similar.
The story starts off at sort of an abandoned picnic, where he's got some music playing out of him, but then the DJ says (basically tells the audience) that it's switching over to digital, and his music cuts out.
So he has an idea to make a hot air balloon out of the picnic basket, rug and a candle, and floats off to find different music is a few very surreal places.

Doesn't sound that similar. In WALL-E he played music, but only for his enjoyment. The story sounds original and interesting. I hope it comes out well!

Ya it sounds very original. Other than finding music is their any other motives for traveling in the hot air balloon? Does music hold a different purpose in that world? Sounds like fun

Yeah, the opening scene is like a leftover picnic, and the basket and rug are all he has. But he's a radio, so he's gotta find some music!
