Here's a new Nordic stop motion short that is perfect for the new year.
My wife who came from the Philippines told me of a belief they have. Each new year everyone wears clothing with big round dots on them. Why? Because they think the round circles resemble coins, which bring good luck. In fact they even embed coins in the concrete steps in front of their homes for the same purpose.
So this stop motion film seemed fitting since 2011 is only days away. Made by Daniel Larsson and Tomas Redigh n Sweden, they used a projector to map out the coins movements ahead of time. Then they mixed in an 8-bit sound track to give the film an 80's feel. Previously they were known for their 8-bit trip video that became instantly popular on YouTube.
You can visit their official Ninja Moped web site for more information here.
