Here is an interesting new stop motion collaboration company that recently popped up in Brazil.
The company is set up in order to collaborate with animators all over Brazil. Unfortunately the site has limited information in English, but a translation turned up this:
(About) Gyro Movies
"From creation to completion, working in partnership with artists from all over Brazil, the Gyro Films is a producer of traditional animation. With the main focus in stopmotion, every job is a great opportunity to explore new materials."
The managing partners are Pedro Lua A and Analucia de Godoi. Other than that, the site has many short films, ads and some behind the scenes stuff that is sure to keep anyone interested for part of their day.
Some of the media they use are clay, cut-outs and pixilation with hand held lights. They do look like they have pulled off some very polished jobs, it would be a good place to contact if you live in that part of the world. Below are a couple of videos to show what they have made in the past. To visit their web site and watch all the other videos click here. Or visit their official Vimeo page that is set up over here.
