StopmoNic: Making Silicone Puppet Heads

Silicone Head Tutorial

Nick Hilligoss is up to his usual antics in his "down under" home studio. This time he's made a silicone head tutorial!

There's not much to say about todays news post. Everything that I might explain already has been explained in the revealing tutorial on how to sculpt, mold and cast a silicone puppet head. The only thing I'd like to warn is that you will need to use the pause button during the video to read all the text which goes by very fast. Get ready to be inspired by watching the video below.

Nick's stuff is always so cool and helpful. I'm using a lot of his techniques to build my puppets right now.

Silicone/Urethane

This tutorial is great and it would be equally useful if you were casting urethane rubber because the process is pretty much the same for both materials.

Cost?

This video is fantastic! I'm starting to learn about stop-motion, and I was curious about how expensive the materials involved in the process above are.
