The Making of Robot Jox

Making of Robot Jox

Chellovek created a short write-up about the 1993 release of Robot Jox, but it has lots of pictures from the production.

If you haven't seen Robot Jox, it was a unique stop motion film. There were large robots, a science fiction based story and lots of action. Many of the pioneers of stop motion worked on it who went on to help the next generation of animators.

Paul Gentry, David Allen, Roy Goode, Joe Viskocil, Ron Cobb and Steve Burg probably aren't on your list of known artists and animators. However there's a very good chance you've seen their work on TV and in movies. If this is all new to you here is the trailer for Robot Jox below.

To view the picture from the production (click them to enlarge), view Chelloveks blog over here.

I have no recollection of this film and that's a shame, it looks like something I'd love!
