Once in a while a grungy stop motion film comes along that you can't take your eyes off of.
Neomorphus is one of those films. The sets, puppets, lighting and animation draw you into a new world almost as soon as it starts. The premise behind the film is different characters evolving rapidly and adapting to the mutating surroundings and issues that arise.
You might expect this film was made in Germany, Poland or Russia. But it is in fact made in Brasil by the team Animatorio. They have an official site for the film that you can see here with the videos below and a small gallery. Here is the film itself.
Below is the behind the scenes for the project. You can see some pop-throughs, 2-D reference animation and the motion control setup. There are also some deleted scenes that the director wasn't happy with.

If I were forced to pick one element of this film that I like the most, it would be the animation itself. In watching it, I just know that these animators could animate white b***s rolling around on a white table, and somehow make it jaw-dropping. BRAVO!!!
