About meMy name's Kyle, I've always held a passion for the art of Stop Motion Animation, with classic television series like 'Trapdoor' and films such as 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' being my earliest sources of inspiration.
Using an old video camera, I turned my passion for animation into a hobby, telling stories through primitive stop motion techniques applied to old Playmobile and plasticine figures. This hobby of mine grew with me and through my own study I learned the fundamentals of animation as well as the professional techniques used in the industry.
I pursued my passion for animation throughout my education, eager to advance my knowledge and hone my skills; I was a student of 'Art, Design, and Media' at Chichester College where I gained a wider understanding of art techniques and composition, before moving on to the specialist 'Stop Motion Animation & Puppet Making' course at Staffordshire University where my work gained a number of awards and is still used as promotional material for the course.
I now work to produce various Stop Motion Animated features for external clients, as well as my own production studio where my ideas and unique style of storytelling result in films that are cartoonish in appearance but full of my dark humour and shrewd observations.
'My creative connections span a wide range of disciplines, which helps me to maintain an experimental approach to my animations and create more polished pieces of work.
