Moon Hood is releasing a brand new game called the Midnight Walk. The game was made by hand as a stop motion project. However in order to make it as a VR game, they scanned all their creations in order to bring it all to life in their game engine.
The studio is located in Gothenburg Sweden, and oddly enough the creators have a slight resemblance to Henry Selick and Phil Knight of Laika fame. Maybe through the magic of stop motion they cloned themselves??
Kidding aside, who is this mysterious duo making this awesome new game? According to their blog...
"For those who haven't met us yet, we are an artistic video game studio based in Gothenburg, Sweden. MoonHood was founded by Klaus Lyngeled and Olov Redmalm, the creative wizards behind award-winning titles like Lost in Random and Ghost Giant. Together with a team of not only programmers and designers, but traditional clay sculptors too, we aim to transport players into mysterious worlds - meticulously handcrafted in clay, cardboard, and what-have-you - for a wonderfully dark and dreamlike experience for consoles, PC, and even VR!"
If you'd like to see some really good behind the scenes photos of their game, Gematsu has a nice gallery located here. Their blog also has a lot of inspiring images over here. If you're a gamer and want to put the game on your wish list for Steam or Playstation, you can do so by clicking here.
